De klassieke toepassing van de ultrasone sensor is het meten van het vulniveau van vloeistoffen of stortgoederen in een reservoir. De sensoren meten contactloos vulniveaus van enkele millimeters tot 8 meter. Er is keuze uit ultrasone sensoren met een of twee schakeluitgangen voor een min-/max-regeling, of sensoren met analoge uitgang 0 – 10 V en 4 – 20 mA. 

Met de pico+TF, crm+ of hps+ ultrasone sensoren zijn er ook chemicaliënbestendige versies beschikbaar.
