Ultrasonic sensors with a switching output can be used to perform film tear monitoring. We recommend the use of pico+ ultrasonic sensors or nano ultrasonic sensors in cramped installation conditions.
If the diameter of the film roll is also to be monitored, an ultrasonic sensor with analogue output can be used.
