A compact sensor design is required for non-contact level monitoring in small vessels or where installation space is limited. The sensors measure levels ranging from a few millimetres up to 1.3 metres and are therefore suitable for applications with limited space.
Ultrasonic sensors are available with one or two digital outputs for minimum/maximum control, or with an analogue output (0–10 V and/or 4–20 mA) for continuous level monitoring.
The zws ultrasonic sensor with SoundPipe is ideal for level measurement in particularly small vessels (e.g. microtitre plates). This enables measurement in vessels with a diameter of less than 5 mm. Due to the SoundPipe, measurement can take place immediately from the sound outlet, as the blind zone lies within the SoundPipe.
The pico+TF level sensors are designed for level measurement in chemically aggressive liquids such as cleaning agents, paints or inks.
